The Neighborhood Church seeks to serve and connect families of children with special needs. We provide safe space, community, engagement, and connection via micro events tailored for the special needs community, and through our special needs playground.

PUMPKINS

Special Pumpkin Patch Day

Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 12-5, families of children with special needs are welcome to Special Pumpkin Patch Day, at the Stafford Acres Pumpkin Patch! Each registered family receives a free bounce pass, snack and drink, and a personal sized pumpkin for each child with special needs.

We have several accessible pumpkin paths, accessible restrooms, and farm animals onsite.

EASTER EGG

HUNT

Easter Egg Hunt

Typically held the weekend before Easter weekend, this micro event is an egg hunt event built especially for your child. As always we provide de-escalation space, sensory crafts for each age, bounce houses, photo opportunities, and an individualized egg hunt for your family. Come in pajamas or Easter finery, if the weather is nice we'll have outdoor activities around the brand new accessible playground, otherwise we'll be indoors.

BBQ BUBBLES

& BOUNCE

BBQ, Bubbles, and Bounce House

August 10, 4-6p 2024. This outdoor microevent provides sensory activies for your child. We should have sunflowers in bloom during this event! Fully accessible, families love seeing police and fire trucks, connecting with other families in the special needs community, and enjoying great food.

Accessible Playground

BRAND NEW on Stafford Road! A fully accessible playground for the community!

The playground is open to the public during the school year from 3p-7p on weekdays, 9a-7p weekends. During the summer it's open to the public 9a-7p.Neighbors of all ages and abilities are welcome to come find their inner child!
